Default Raw Foods Diet

Well, I am attempting to lose a pound or two and am trying the raw foods diet. I think I might be able to do it for two weeks. Its supposed to make you feel better. All I am feeling right now is sugar withdrawal!

The premise is that one only eats things that are uncooked, so it is pretty much nuts, vegetables and weeds. We'll see how much weight I lose and how good I feel..lol

I am not sure about a diet of only raw food, but the more non-pre-packaged food you eat the better.

It is not that hard to cook at home. Really.

Every grocery store has a produce department and a meat department.

Some of the Tyson chicken now says "no hormones or additives"

Cooking a simple meal doesn't take too long and I support this message.

.......mmmmmm......weeds. Good luck! The sugar craving goes away if you don't give in.

Get one of those juice making machines, like the old guy with the crazy eyebrows on that late night infomercial:

Don't approach it as punishment for past indiscretions. Think about working toward a point of greater energy and clearer thinking. The spiritual and mental aspects affect the physical more than most people realize. Good luck!

But what happens when you start eating "normal" food again? You'll gain back your weight. Unless you think you can eat raw foods forever. If you think you can, more power to you! I'm sure it's a very healthy way of eating.

Also, check out this blog - they do "Raw Foods Wednesday" and the recipes look awesome! At the top left you'll see the "raw foods wednesday posts" link if you just want to see those.

I bought the Jack LaLane(sp?) juicer. It's really nice but JEESOPEETES it's expensive to juice. I juice a bottle full instead of a glass. A 700ml bottle easlily holds $15 worth of fruit juice especially if you use blueberries and blackberries. I have stopped using it because it is more expensive than crack and if I have to choose..well..I needs my crack.

I totally agree with this! When I did the Master Cleanse I approached it like I was walking into a gas chamber and I felt miserable. Around day 4 I started with the, this is good for me, I am doing something that might save my life, blah-blah-blah, and it worked. Positive thoughts didn't fill my empty stomach or anything but the negative ones sure did a number on my motivation.

Change your mind, change your choices, change your life! RAWK!

Suggest you visit the Glowing Body Cafe where raw foods become gourmet delicacies.
