In New Jersey, we call them Wing'd Rats. Throw alka seltzers to them. It's fun.

You've never had a turkey-sized seagull steal a sandwich out of your kid's hand at the beach. They suck. There are other birds that suck, but seagulls suck the suck. Pigeons suck too. Nasty.

I grew up on the Gulf of Mexico and had many a seagull steal various snacks from my grubby little fingers--heaven forbid you'd drop a Cheetoh--there'd be a whole flock descending in a milisecond, shitting on your head. I still wouldn't feed 'em AlkaSeltzer--fat, ugly scavenger birds are one thing, but when they're exploding, it's a whole other thing.
