Is there any likelihood the Sen-Sen is an issue that the Giv-er,the Gov, would prefer to do anything other than continue to say mostly nothing about? Does Sen-Sen Stacey have anything to lose by tweaking the noses of TPTB who are going to support Briggs against him anyway? Dunno. Especially what goes on behind the headlines.

Seems like the Sen-Sen plays to the core constituency that votes for him, which, I assume, doesn't give a damn about deals between governments except in a negative sense, and thus scores points with his voters for being against a gov-gov deal that appears to leave out the free market and capitalism and stuff.
And there was already an understanding in place with Hislackey's administration that exactly what Stacey is proposing wouldn't happen, if I remember correctly.
The Gov, or the Gov's govs, I should say, of course, plays a broader and more layered game. But given this issue hits closer to home, Hislamb's handlers will probably find a way to stymy Stacey before it goes forward.
