I am totally craving a savory chicken salad on a bed of iceberg lettuce. But I don't know how to make chicken salad. Can anyone enlighten me?
(No nuts in the salad, but yes to grapes and lots of pepper. No egg either.)

just cook the chicken, chill, cut or pull it
salads like this are fun because you can add whatever you want and however much of it you want according to your particular taste.
classic chicken salad normally involves onions celery chicken and mayo....
i personally like fruit and nuts in mine.
some times instead of grapes ill put craisins (dried cranberries) in it.

i make mine with chunks of chicken, halved red grapes, chunks of granny smith apples, walnuts (sorry), cumin and yogurt.
i reckon you could leave out the walnuts.
i have major culinary issues with celery.

Fresh Market's is very good.
And, as I have recently found, so is Target's (in the deli section of the super Targets.) I was shocked, but it is damn tasty.
Lunchbox's is not good on lettuce, it's more of a spread for sandwiches.
