anybody else seen it yet? i saw it twice this weekend, i love it. probably the most exhilarating movie experience i've had since sin city. it's fast paced, loud, brutal, foul, funny, and nerve wracking. highly recommended.

    Seeing it tomorrow. Can't wait.

I'm a big fan of most of those actors, especially Nicholson, Sheen and Damon. Those dudes can act. But, isn't there a Baldwin in it? Oh well, no film can be perfect.

alec baldwin has a supporting role. i thought he was great, but i tend to like him anyway. the whole cast delivers, i don't think there's a weak link to be found.

Up here in Boston folks are excited about it, as a lot of it was filmed here. I've heard that the plot is a bit weak but the action and the beautiful city of Boston makes up for it. I'm excited to go see it, I have to wait a couple of weeks til I can afford it.

I couldn't wait until Tuesday, so I went and just got back. Amazing movie. LONG movie. So long that it's easy to get turned around - I'm still trying to get a few things straight.

Typical Scorsese. Neat camera work. Killer rock and roll soundtrack. Lots-o-blood. Not a typical mob movie though. More of a mystery instead of the straight up and sraight down plot line you typically see in Scorsese's films.

Very much to my surprise, Baldwin's character is perhaps the best. Well I guess not as good as Jack's.

Go see it in the theater; it's great.

i'm still not sure i have all the little plot kinks worked out. happily though this looks like one that'll stand up to multiple viewings. glad you enjoyed it (and liked baldwin so much)!

The Departed is in my top 3 for 06 along with Thank You For Smoking and Water. Not a great date movie if your partner doesn't like gritty-ness...
