    It's a provocative hypothesis. I seem to recall that human ancestors' changing diets did alter their physiology over time, such as learning to eat grains led to alterations in the shape of teeth and consuming goat and cow milk caused changes in the gastrointestinal system.

    I think I read that, many, many years ago. But other researchers will have to examine and test the mushroom theory for it to gain traction. And just for the halibut, here's a short mushroom summation.
