    Default RIP Metro Pulse

The end of an era. I have co-workers who have never lived in a world without MP.

It's sad to see it go.

I made some good friends from my time there.

Profitable but "not profitable enough". Getting harsh out here in this world.
Time heals the wound, but then there's still a scar -- to remind us of the way it's meant to be.

    I'm just gutted.

My life was changed by a train. No, really it was.

I was so afraid this would happen. I figured it wasn't a cash cow, but a good paper, one we all read and need.

And I am going to miss reading articles about Knoxville that have more than 300 words.

I hope it does not rest in peace. I hope it either survives in some other form or goes down making a lot of un-restful noise. The gag order under threat of losing severance is a nice touch from Scripps.

OMG, I just realized I won't have News of the Weird to read on the toilet.

This is sad. My heart goes out to the staff.
I was lucky to have worked there. I met some some of my dearest friends because of MP.

    Default Everything Must Change

Thanks to everyone who ever worked on that paper. You did a good job, and people will remember that.

    "Everything Must Change"

    Everything must change
    Nothing stays the same
    Everyone must change
    No one stays the same

    The young become the old
    And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged

There are not many things in life
    You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
    Sun lights up the sky
    And hummingbirds do fly

    Winter turns to spring
    A wounded heart will heal
    But never much too soon
    Yes everything must change

    The young become the old
    And mysteries do unfold
Cause that's the way of time
Nothing and no one goes unchanged

There are not many things in life
    You can be sure of
Except rain comes from the clouds
    Sun lights up the sky
    And butterflies do fly

    Rain comes from the clouds
    Sun lights up the sky
    And music
    And music
    Makes me cry
