Id love to hear Ernie's take on this. Apparently its the first time in 600 years this has happened. Theologically, if the theory is that the Pope is ordained by God, then doesn't quitting defy God's will?

I'm assuming you'll be objecting to his attempt to insert his Christianist theology into matters of secular fiscal policy.

Actual Christian theology would be a mighty interesting thing to see applied to global finance, but the Vatican interpretation probably isn't all that, though he did lay down a most righteous rant:

Not that Goldman Sachs or the IMF are going to be taking direction from the Pope anytime soon, so I mostly figure this will further freak out the Agenda 21 freaks.

Not to mention the "black pope" is also the term conspiracists use for the "secret" pope that secretly runs the luciferian underworld.

Another interesting tidbit, you have to be an ordained catholic priest in order to derive subversive manna from "black mass".

"wandering bishops" is an interesting meme as well.

My take on Judaic religion is that at this point you have a bunch of psychopaths trying to make the bible come true ala Cyrus Scofield.

Problem is most people wouldn't notice and not enough care or believe (thank god).

And yeah, REAL Christian theology applied would be awesome. Too bad no culture or government has ever done it.

    Odds:

    African pope: 10-1
    Italian: 3-2
    North American: 5-1
    South American: 11-2
Outside the Congregation for Doctrine: 20-1
Outside the Orders (this means a monk, parish priest, Jesuit): 100-1
    Field: 100-8

I would suspect that the Skeksis will come down to trial by stone pretty quickly.* Easter is coming up and they need someone to wear the hat.

Where odd audio errata, ephemeralities, and nonsense occasionally collide with actual music for serious contemplation. Trouble is - I'm not saying what is which.

So does this disqualify him from the "Find the Pope In the Pizza Contest?" I am sure Father Guido Sarducci will have an answer.
