UT Baseball home games are almost here.

I hit 'em when I can.

They are playing out in Las Vegas already- I think. Not sure on audio just yet.

Tops takes Pete Rose's name off of this year's cards. So, whose 4,256 hits were they? In other news, Barry Bonds still gets credit for his steriod-fueled HR total.
http://chicagosidesports.com/pete-ro...aseball-cards/And if the company intends to make subjective judgments about players, what’s next? Should the achievements of Denny McLain be taken away for his crimes? What about Mark Grace and his second DUI conviction? Maybe Todd Helton needs to be banned for his DUI arrest? Ty Cobb went into the stands and nearly beat a fan to death back in 1912, but the fine print on every Topps wrapper informs us that the name “Ty Cobb” is a trademark of the Estate of Ty Cobb. So betting on games gets you banned, but attacking a fan gets a pass. I don’t understand that one at all.

Meh. Anyone reading the back of the cards that closely knows who has the record anyway. And I understand the point that blogger is making, but he should take it up with Pete himself, as Pete agreed to be forever banned from baseball. As for the Grace/Helton/Cobb stuff, surely that blogger can understand/appreciate the difference between a permanent ban from baseball for gambling on baseball (the well-known biggest no-no in MLB) and off-field crimes.
Anybody here every take the plunge on MLBTV?

Radio plus video highlights is my preferred experience if I can't be at the game. They'd have to cut me a discount to make me watch the video.
That's assuming you get announcers that call the game. I'm going to send in an "Ask Marty" entry asking Marty Brennaman to quit dicking around and call the 8th inning.
But anyway, no. Any idea how much it's going to be this year?

Well you can get AT Bat for like 12.00 bucks or something, and that gives you all the radio and video highlights- particularly nice if you have an Ipad. Plus you choose announcers (from whichever team)
The big TV package is about 129 for the whole season. Since I like the Giants and Nationals, it's actually a good deal and At Bat comes with it.

Can you watch on your phone with that and does it buy you out of the blackouts? I noticed last year that the free game of the day video isn't available on AT Bat when it's a home game for the Reds (and presumably the Braves, too).
I read somewhere that they were going to be switching from the annual app model to a monthly subscription at roughly the same pricing.
