We also re-watched John Carter over the weekend. I am not sure why the movie was such a dud. It really was pretty well done. The whole bit about putting Edgar Rice Burroughs into it was dumb. The rest, though, was a good popcorn, Star Wars type of Sci-fi. Something you don't get often anymore.

You have to unclick the box that says: Retrieve remote file and reference locally

Then they will show full size.

yeah, i caught skyfall last night. bardem does a good, fun villain. otherwise, i'm all for the gritty, no-bullshit, dry wit bond, but this one's astronaut-food brittle.

yeah, sam mendes is a hack, and the pseudo-dark knight crap at the end of skyfall is some weak sauce.
at least he's not writing about metal this week

There should be a Planet Hollywood display for Bardem's crazy hair villains.

Pish tosh. Skyfall is the best Bond since Connery.

the conspirator - a compelling story, a decent script and a few solid performances obscured by one of the ugliest looking movies in recent memory. from the gross, digital desaturation and constant vaseline-lensing to the choppy and disorienting editing, i can't believe the same guy who directed milagro beanfield war and a river runs through it directed this.
