Default A Birthday Gift for Blabbers + inspiration injection

    Hello everyone -

To celebrate the 16th anniversary of the first Blab post, as noted elsewhere by Ian, as well as to inject some new inspiration into the perceived malaise infecting the Blab...

The band, Grizzly Bear, is in town rehearsing their show and will launch their US tour Sunday night at the Tennessee Theatre. Unknown Mortal Orchestra opens. Grizzly Bear's long awaited new album will be released on Tuesday.

I am offering all Blabbers the opportunity for you and guest to attend the show for FREE. That's right - you + 1 person. No cost. It's a great opportunity to inject a little bit of cultural stimulation into your life...maybe introduce a friend to downtown Knoxville and the amazing Tennessee Theatre...might even give your love life a little boost...

This offer is good for the next 27 hours, until 4pm eastern time, Saturday (tomorrow).

To get on the list, send an Email with the subject heading: "Metroblab B'day Bear tix" to Margaret Stolfi at mstolfi@acentertainment.com and be sure to specify your name. Tickets will be held at the Tennessee Box Office. Please only do this if you are really going to show up.

If you've already bought tickets for this show, then...no...we will not give you a refund, but you can still invite two friends to use your tickets.

    Happy Birthday, Blabbers!

I'm checking with my social director now.

Thanks so much AC. I think I'll rearrange some things and make it happen. Then on Monday I'm over to Charlotte to catch a Metric show with my brother. Music is good! Blab is good!

This is just another reason to LOVE this town. I don't think we'll be back in town in time to catch this, but dang y'all, I'm jealous!

I hope so too. Should be a great show, and perhaps a nice opportunity for a night out...maybe even to turn a friend onto downtown and one of our spectacular venues.

REMEMBER: you need to send Margaret an email by 4pm eastern today though...
