    This one's a puzzler. I've heard or used panned out only to mean it worked and fell through to mean it didn't, so I looked it up and sure enough there are no other definitions. Who the heck is using them wrong?

    Pretty much any noun used as a verb should be banished. The one that's bugging me recently is "primary," as in Senator Frogwart better be careful or somebody will primary him.

    Also, all media types should be forbidden to use the expression "some say."

    the internet cured me of my need to worry about the grammar of others. though i do make some effort to keep my own reasonably correct.
