i'd say give it a shot. i'm still not entirely won over—it's not as immediately engaging as "adorn" or "climax," but it's an altogether different thing anyway. the production is primitive, the songs may be barely there (or they may just be incredibly subtle, i haven't decided yet), but FO's a fantastic singer, and not like anybody else right now. i think he's working in a pre-teddy riley tradition, which makes it kind of hard to get a grasp on, for me.
i mean, go with your gut, don't work too hard to convince yourself, but give it a fair shake if you're at all curious.

Just now able to look at this, but other than Drake, WUTK had 8 of the other 9 titles in heavy rotation at one time or another this past year. The Adele tune was first a remix, and then a non-single getting medium spins until it blowed up real good.
Stay tuned...
i think you're looking at the 2011 results. new ones are here.

Fiona Apple: I really loved the first two records. Some really great songs on the first one especially. The second one too...but I think I appreciated it as much for sonic environment as much or more than most of the songs. Somehow, I never really connected with Extraordinary Machine, but I don't think I gave it a fair shot. And for some reason, I haven't gotten around to listening to the new one. Although I did see her play a few weeks ago at Terminal 5 in NYC and she and her band were pretty great. And she definitely still packs some attitude![]()
