I absolutely love about 2-3 songs per record- especially that 'when the pawn............' era stuff. But the idea of digging through the rest of it anymore leads me to believe that I am lazy or that there is a limit to my Fapple fandom.

i'd say give it a shot. i'm still not entirely won over—it's not as immediately engaging as "adorn" or "climax," but it's an altogether different thing anyway. the production is primitive, the songs may be barely there (or they may just be incredibly subtle, i haven't decided yet), but FO's a fantastic singer, and not like anybody else right now. i think he's working in a pre-teddy riley tradition, which makes it kind of hard to get a grasp on, for me.

i mean, go with your gut, don't work too hard to convince yourself, but give it a fair shake if you're at all curious.
at least he's not writing about metal this week

Just now able to look at this, but other than Drake, WUTK had 8 of the other 9 titles in heavy rotation at one time or another this past year. The Adele tune was first a remix, and then a non-single getting medium spins until it blowed up real good.
    Stay tuned...

Damn, where do the years go. Yep, was looking at the OP in this thread, and obviously with no concept of time.
Batting .900 on the 2012 Top 10. Love that Tame Impala record.

she only has four albums, so there isn't really much to dig through.

Fiona Apple: I really loved the first two records. Some really great songs on the first one especially. The second one too...but I think I appreciated it as much for sonic environment as much or more than most of the songs. Somehow, I never really connected with Extraordinary Machine, but I don't think I gave it a fair shot. And for some reason, I haven't gotten around to listening to the new one. Although I did see her play a few weeks ago at Terminal 5 in NYC and she and her band were pretty great. And she definitely still packs some attitude

would love to see her. she is rather intense. don't often care for attitude, but in her case it seems to work well for her.
