Just got my Miracle Berry packet in the mail today. It promises to turn everything sweet like hot lickin' sugar. According to the little pamphlet that includes sour, acidic, and bitter flavors. At fourteen dollars for ten it's way too expensive to constantly order but if it actually makes things taste just halfway decent I might try seeing if I can't grow the things.

Finally someone may have solved the nasty greens problem.

Vegetables don't taste good. Their not salty or sweet. Their either bitter, bland, or boring. Most likely all three.

So far lettuce is an absolute bust. Apples taste super and Venom energy drink is divine. Tonight I'm going to try a bowl of fruit (blueberries, strawberries, melons) and some dark chocolate (Newman's own) I might try a carrot.

The little pamphlet suggest red peppers. I'm not sure about that.

hmmm... perhaps your taste buds don’t work like mine or you are consuming low-grade hothouse vegetables which have way less or no flavor, however…

carrots, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, sugar beets are sweet.
cabbage, tomatoes and ripe olives are savory.
peppers are spicy, hot and/or sweet.
onions come in a variety of flavors from sweet to savory to hot.
squash ranges from sweet to savory to slightly nutty in flavor.
cucumbers, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower and celery have very distinctive flavors.
avocados are buttery and slightly salty.
beans and peas also come in a wide variety of flavors.
most potatoes are considered rather bland, however new potatoes are a treat for the taste buds.
obviously, i’ve left many out in order to avoid extreme redundancy.

then there is the important matter of how the vegetables are prepared and in what combinations, which broadens the palate even more. a bit of salt, black pepper and lemon or lime juice can help bring out the flavor.

Eventually I'm going to have to graduate to Trancendyce's level of vegetable aptitude, and honestly I know that it's possible my dislike of vegetables is due to lower grade supermarket stuff, but for now I've ordered another batch of miracle berries.

Todays lunch was a miracle fruit miracle in that I hate an entire salad without getting sick!!! Seriously it was tastey good awesome. Even had lettuce in it. I've figured that I just had to learn to coat my tongue better. To celebrate i went to CiCi's and had another salad (lettuce still good, tomatoes are angelic foodstuffs of the gods, but onions are still a bit off) and some lovely slices of pizza. I've ordered some strong miracle berry tablets in the hopes that it will strengthen my sweet tooth. I'm planning on experimenting with spinach next. I'm gonna create a monster mega boom buster of a salad with apples, spinach, pomegranate, oranges, carrots, and maybe broccoli if all goes well.

    Food is fun again.
