Announcement going on now. Will it be a total makeover or just version 4s?

Well that was anticlimactic. No iPhone 5, just an upgraded iPhone 4S. Albeit, the upgrades do look pretty nice. Improved camera, iOS 5, Siri (natural language recognition), iCloud.

for those of us still with a 3- this is golden, especially the increased speed and battery life, nicer camera, etc. Plus, cheap!

Anybody catch any price info on iOS 5 for upgraders?
Wireless syncing is a welcome addition.
Not that I'll be getting a new one quite yet.

When you do things right. people won't be sure that you've done anything at all.
i still have a flip phone. it lasts 2.5 weeks at a time between charges. and it makes and keeps phone calls. and it was free. and i don't shit myself every time i drop it. which is often.
My current Android phone has been acting wonky enough lately to finally make me consider an iPhone this time around, so I was anxious to see the announcement of this new iPhone and I have to say I am pretty underwhelmed. Most of the "new features" are just catching iPhone up to where Android has been for a while. The new processor is fancy, but I am sure the newest Android phones are comparable.
I was hoping for a blow-your-doors-off announcement that would make me dive head-first into iPhone and never look back. This wasn't it.
Engadget has several posts on the 4S.
