    You might be a republican....

if you paid for your education and worked your ass off to get where you are and do NOT wish to be taxed to death.

If you started a business, and you are quickly seeing that the STATE you are living in wants you to hire minorities, file 15 reports with them, submit to being inspected all the time, pay exorbitant fees for anything and everything under the sun....

and even as you struggle make payroll for your five employees, here comes more of the state government wretches.

If you have never sued anyone? You might be a republican.

If you have never been on welfare? Yep... you might be a republican.

Never been on food stamps. There is a decent chance you are a republican.

Never wanted to get any position due to the RACIST PROGRAM called Affirmative Action. Yer in the GOP.

Never joined a union? There is a decent chance that you are indeed... in the GOP.

Never became an environmental quack, hugging on trees and smoking cigs at a coffee shop living with mom still?

    YEP, you might be republican.

Never was one of the deluded FOOLS.... who bought into every goofball study about Global Warming?

    You might be a republican.

How Lindsey Graham outmaneuvered the tea party

So when Graham got wind in 2012 that Mulvaney wanted a seat on the House Financial Services Committee, he quietly lobbied his longtime friend, Speaker John Boehner, to make it happen. During regular dinners and breakfast meetings, the senator made clear to Mulvaney and other up-and-comers in the delegation that he was there to help with their districts’ needs. All the while, Graham was busy assembling a daunting multimillion-dollar political operation.

Lo and behold, Mulvaney and others thought better of taking on Graham when the time came. “Not being able to win is a really good reason not to run,” Mulvaney said in an interview.
Wouldn't go arranging a late night meeting with this guy on a Metro platform, just sayin'.

Republicans Blast Nevada Rancher for Failing to Use Commonly Accepted Racial Code Words
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) — Republican politicians blasted the Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy on Thursday for making flagrantly racist remarks instead of employing the subtler racial code words the G.O.P. has been using for decades. (more)

You might be a Republican if you still believe the jury is still out on global warming.

    Scott Westerfield explains it it:
Plot idea: 97% of the world's scientists contrive an environmental crisis, but are exposed by a plucky band of billionaires & oil companies.
Here: The place where we're all at.
Now: The only time to be in.
    Being: What is here now.

YMBARI, if the ALEC agenda you've been pushing for growth (by robbing the poor to give to their corporate masters) doesn't work. Turns out, the economy doesn't work by cutting regulation and government spending. Looking at all 50 states, there's a decrease in growth for the ones with higher ALEC-Laffer “Economic Outlook” rankings.

Not that the failure of whatever they're calling trickle-down economics this year is news. Two years ago somebody did the same test to celebrate the first five years of the ALEC Outlook Ranking:

Simply put, the ALEC Outlook Ranking fails to predict economic performance. There is virtually no relation between the ranking in 2007 and a state’s five-year rate of growth in GDP; the correlation is 0.02, almost zero. On another measure, the correlation is only slightly stronger, but in the opposite direction (0.06): The lower a state was ranked on the A-L Index the better it did in terms of job growth. Other trends were stronger but again in the opposite direction: the less “competitive” a state according to ALEC the more per capita income grew (see chart above).
