As much as it disgusts me to post in a digit thread, why didn't the Repubs make this legislation apply to all public employees?
Wisconsin's measure would end collective bargaining for state, county and local workers, except for police, firefighters and the state patrol. Unions still could represent workers, but could not seek pay increases above those pegged to the Consumer Price Index unless approved by a public referendum. Unions also could not force employees to pay dues and would have to hold annual votes to stay organized.
Why do the cops and other "heroes" always get a pass? That's right, they aren't usually libruls.
Actually, I was not trying to be clever or take a side, but just repeating what the newscasters said. They were standing in crowds of protestors doing live reports and it was hard to hear what they were saying over the noise of the protestors.
But thanks Keef, for calling me kind of clever.
Someone, please, for the love of God, embed the CSN "Ohio" video!
