Default 5 picks for the first Wednesday in the Year of Our Lord 2010

    - Agoraphobic Nosebleed Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope
    - the Flower-Corsano Duo The Four Aims
    - Darius Jones Trio Man’ish Boy (A Raw and Beautiful Thing)
    - Henry Threadgill Sextett You Know the Number
    - Converge Axe to Fall

BTW, all eMusic heads should note that the Flower-Corsano Duo and Darius Jones Trio albums are both really good and both available on everyone's favorite cheapo indie download service.

Bonus: the Necks' new Silverwater, which I just scored, and the Pet Shop Boys' "West End Girls," which I needed to hear for some reason and DLed from Amazon

x-ray spex germ free adolescents (going through one of my occasional x-ray spex phases, where i become convinced poly styrene was the punk genius.)

hawkwind space ritual (always been curious about these guys. they seem sorta ridiculous, but not in a bad way. i imagine drugs would help here.)

geko jones geko jones on mo'glo (nice world-pop mix, free to download here.)

converge axe to fall (recently acquired from an enthusiastic blabber. it sure is loud and fast. i like it.)

r.b. morris spies, lies and burning eyes (really good, bunch of songs here i've been waiting years to hear in proper recorded form. "regarding emily," "plato's perfect world," etc. "spy in my brain" rocks as hard as anything he's recorded. pretty talented, that guy.)

    bonus:
the rezillos (my baby does) good sculptures
a letter written in a dream that is answered much too soon

I'm not even going to Google because I know you made that up.

Where odd audio errata, ephemeralities, and nonsense occasionally collide with actual music for serious contemplation. Trouble is - I'm not saying what is which.

C.'s been playing that one around the house a lot lately. So classic.

Once you get over the unbelievable brain-crushing tedium of it (I always sort of suspected they were playing the same song over and over), it's sort of relaxing, in a way. Not white noise...maybe dark gray noise?
