thanx fc,we were right ,hunh?i mean i know you feared that the judges are always partial to oscar, but you said that you thought manny would out score him,and he did every round.your skepticism of the judges is very reasonable, thank goodness it didn't end up in thier hands.and no more oscar in big draw fights to underachieve as usual.he's gotta be finished now surely!

You were dead on man. I still cant believe Oscar was stopped but I'm glad his smug ass was stopped.

Pacman is a god. He has a lot of great fights with other great fighters in the future. I'm looking forward to it.

What are your thoughts on Tyson? I think he was always over rated and carried like few fighters ever were. He made his name knocking out fat white guys. Ducked EVERYBODY he should have fought in his prime like Bowe, Lewis, Holy, Foreman etc. He had trouble with Ruddick for gods sake. And he got beat badly by a nobody, beat some fat dudes and then an old "shot" Holyfield destroyed him. Most people regard him as one of the best ever. I never have not even close. Those same people cant name 2 big name fighters Tyson beat cause he fought chumps for the most part, Pinklin Thomas, Buster Mathis? Please!

My favorite sports quote ever is from Peter McNeely before his "fight" with Mike-"I'm going to bully him. I'm going to bulldog him. I'm going to wrap him in a cocoon of horror!" COCOON OF HORROR!! I love it!!

I love McNeely. He did what nobody ever did. When the bell rang he RAN straight at Tyson, halirous!

    i'll be completely honest.

early in his career when he was rackin up all those first to third round ko's,i was very impressed.his first 17 fights ko's by the sixth.all the image of him being a throw back to another era,and the character of cus d'amato and his catskills mystique, and tysons brooklyn street cred and all that, combined with his vicous style and desire to finish quick and those nasty hooks and uppercuts really had me.i liked his image of being a real student of the sport and boxing history buff.even the ripped towel and black trunks and shoes sans socks was soooo badass to me.

but after cus died and buster blasted him, from there his rapid decline was as fast in my mind as his meteoric rise.for reasons too many to list,he fell apart.a unique thing about him is that his career was absolutely dependent upon his ability to hurt badly or ko someone in the first few rounds.after the sixth or so his chances for success declined so rapidly it was freaky.

about the time of his marraige/divorce and subsequent trouble with the pagent queen,it became evident that all that image crap was a facade.i do still believe that he never fully rose to his potential.and he is troubled to say the least, but there are far too many fighters with less talent that have more balls and determination to succeed, that would never dream of throwing it all away.i lost any respect for him at all by then.but i was a fan early on.

as for mcneely,i thought at the bell to end the first round that it was gonna be a dream fight bro.i was totally stunned.that first round was very entertaining.i couldn't believe that crazy white boy.what a trip.

but yeah i confess to being a tyson fan in the early part of his career.but it's embarassing now,and i'd prolly lie about it but there's too many blabbers that knew me then to call me on it.hee heee!
