Indeed, Double Muslims are great. The cool thing about them is no matter how many times I see them, each time is signifigantly different. They've got my pal Manjit (orginal Tenderhook! lol) back on saxophone as well.

And yes, we are definantly committed to starting on time! Several blabbers actually missed the CD release show b/c they arrived at midnight and we were done playing. Double Muslims will do a short set to kick things off, and they set things up on the floor, so we'll be ready to go behind them on the stage.

Looking forward to seeing ya'll there!

So I left the Pilot Light with a stupid grin on my face after two too short sets from two bands brimming with artful plans, jabbed my fresh copy of New Ways to Butcher English into the stereo and headed home. The grin finally wore off somewhere around where the double Pilot station stretch of Alcoa Hwy has become a one Pilot mile, but "Let the Artist Starve" was playing and that sigh made me laugh out loud, and I couldn't get the damn grin off my face again.

I stopped at a gas station for a six pack and tried to be serious, but the clerk was gabbing with a friend on his way out, and she yelled "Be careful!" as he left and right as I was reaching to open the cooler, and I thought it was booby trapped until I realize she wasn't talking to me, so I headed to the register as she grabbed a package from the candy display and said, "Who keeps opening the damn SweetTarts?" Then the beer rang up for a dollar cheaper than it should have, but she let me have it and wrote a note to her boss.

Nobody took a doody in my sandbox, and I love everyone.
