I spent the occasional Sunday afternoon at the Starbucks off Straw Plains Pike. It closed last Friday because of the corporate downsizing move. Now, I'm looking for a place with decent coffee and Wi-fi relatively nearby. Suggestions?

If memory serves, there were two in the area closed by corporate: the Straw Plains location and another in Harriman, I think.
i'm not very smart so if you will indulge my dumbass by educating me as to what exactly wi-fi is ,i might be able to help you.all i know about it is people were trying to find the elusive wi-fi creature at bonaroo.must have sited one wollerin in the mud.but i do at least know what a diner and coffee is.i live in s.p. area.

Has anyone noticed - Krystal is now offering the free WiFi. Don't think they'll attract hordes of yuppie screenwriters and businessfolk, but I wish them luck.

There's a Starbucks on Merchant's just off the freeway if you feel like heading to North Knoxville...unless that one's closed, too.
