Thread: Coffee shop in East Knoxville?

Default Coffee shop in East Knoxville?

I spent the occasional Sunday afternoon at the Starbucks off Straw Plains Pike. It closed last Friday because of the corporate downsizing move. Now, I'm looking for a place with decent coffee and Wi-fi relatively nearby. Suggestions?

i didn't even know about starbucks over that way.* there's always the starbucks at target east towne area / don't know if that's too far away from you or if that would fit the feel of what you like to do.

*i'm interested in moving out that way in the far future.

If memory serves, there were two in the area closed by corporate: the Straw Plains location and another in Harriman, I think.

Wireless internet which isn't a dealbreaker. I'd settle for good coffee and quiet.

Has anyone noticed - Krystal is now offering the free WiFi. Don't think they'll attract hordes of yuppie screenwriters and businessfolk, but I wish them luck.

There's a Starbucks on Merchant's just off the freeway if you feel like heading to North Knoxville...unless that one's closed, too.

Isn't there a Weigel's near there that serves coffee?
