    Default That was unusual

I was over at the Tennessee Theatre working on some stuff, and coming back, I rounded the corner to see smoke billowing up from in front of the Regions building. Apparently, a Bonneville crashed into a parked Porsche Boxter, which then crashed into another parked Boxter, and then the Bonneville caught fire.

Ouch. There's a director of the UT architecture department who drives a Boxter and has a design lab across the street. Another prominent local architect (and former student) has one too. We could be hearing some tales of woe at the brew pub tomorrow.
sudo open the pod bay doors, HAL.

Oh My. I hope I don't hear any woeful tales soon. That's such a nice car. And he's such a very nice guy

There's a third Boxter sitting in the exact same place. This one's unscathed, with a local architecture professor sitting in it.

After looking at the pavement, I can see the Bonneville didn't catch fire. The guy plowed the first Boxter and must've been knocked unconscious with his foot jammed on the accelerator, sitting there spinning the drive wheels until they were piles of smoking rubber.

There is definitely a story there.

I would guess that at least 50 percent of the city's Boxter's have been involved in this whatever it was.

Naw, there are a bunch of them out there. I borrowed Buzz's once and of course, when you are driving one you can suddenly see all the others on the road. They aren't as common as BMWs or Toyotas but there are a bunch of Boxters running around this burg.

I'm seeing them more and more. Maybe I'm just more aware of seeing them.

Hey, C, next time you have the opportunity to drive Buzz's car around and need someone riding shotgun, you know my number. Or feel free to just drop by the house.
