Thread: favorite music dvd?

    Default favorite music dvd?

Just saw Festival Express again last night. One of my personal favorites. I love that scene on the train with Rick Danko, Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin. I will never get tired of that. And Buddy Guy kills it with his performance.

Also recently have watched Gimme Shelter, Stop Making Sense, and a cool documentary called "Before The Music Dies", its about the deteriorated pop music culture. Highly recommended.

What should be next on my list? I am open to pretty much anything.

Mine is This Is Spinal Tap, if that counts.

Where odd audio errata, ephemeralities, and nonsense occasionally collide with actual music for serious contemplation. Trouble is - I'm not saying what is which.

    Love, love love Festival Express.

Others I never tire of are John Mayall Looking Back, The Last Waltz, Los Lobos at the Fillmore, Concert for Bangladesh (Billy Preston still makes me cry after a hundred times), and Antone's Home of the Blues.

Festival Express and Before the Music Dies are in my collection, too.
The Concert For George Harrison has a lot of heart and great performances.
