Thanks for checking them out. Yeah, that multiple bass thing was a signature element of Hanrahan's sound. Bill Laswell, Jack Bruce, Jamaladeen...

I can't even begin to imagine how many times I listened to this song as a teenager. I still don't know what it's about.

Look at the "Tax Cuts for Wealthy" thread. I need your help organizing a guerilla theatre protest. Name your price. Will do community service or whatever.

Need to share a little story...I am a huge Joan baez fan. Years ago I gathered up my ticket stubs, concert announcments from the LA Times, a couple of things from my short stay at the Institute for the Study of Non Violence (something she did ages ago). I had them mounted, leaving space for an autograph that I hoped to get at the Bijou. You and your staff graciously put it in her dressing room and she signed it. If that wasn't good enough after the concert she came walking back out on stage carrying it asking who did it belong to! She returned it to me and seemed tickled by the fact that I had still had all that stuff and to see it all! I remember thinking "OK, I can die now! My life is complete!!" Ahh, the silliness of youth! But I will never forget it as long as I live! You are blessed to be able to create memories for people like this through music and bring it to us! I have always wanted to thank you for that experience! Thanks! Sappho
