Joie Todd Kerns will be gracing the airwaves with his presence around noon today on 90.3 The Rock to Muckletalk. So e-mail your questions and inquiries to wutk@utk.edu, if'n you have any. I'll be asking him some questions, and getting some updates on the site, shows, etc.

But be easy on Joie, as he spent most of his formative years breathing in Eastman soot and Mead paper particles from the lovely Kingsport air. So he may be moving a bit slowly.

Tune in at noon to day at the 90.3 spot, or at www.wutkradio.com. We will also be giving away our first pair of passes to the show, so be ready to dial up, you Muckleheads.

Here's a question for Mr. Mucklewain: Should Gina drag Andy along too?

I found this somewhere on the net.
Now what about that crazy name? It comes from a historical figure named Tunice Mucklewain, a Melungeon who reportedly posed as a Native American spy during the Revolutionary War. “I’ve always been fascinated by the name and I wanted something that had that hillbilly ring to it,” says Todd. “It carries that independent earthy, revolutionary spirit of the whole thing.”

We had a power outage just as the interview started, which also took down our stream for a few. Sorry...

Thanks for asking my question(s). I figured I already knew the answer but knew a few others wondering the same thing on the camping situation. I guess I could always try to head down that way after finishing the Funhouse if I could get the familial logistics worked out.

Someone will still have to be in the studio playing tunes, running the board, etc.

Nonetheless, I think I may be able to work it where I could head down post show and snag some real estate for the rest of the gang trickling in the next morning. Plus, that would allow me to bet me swerve on a little early. :D

You're getting warm, but I'm not giving out the exact location. BEWARE! It is private land. Owner of said land is a good shot.
