Need some recommendations on a good commercial printer in the Knoxville area. Although I am in middle TN, I am currently using a printer out of west TN (we do everything through FTP), but it is time to re-up on some quotes and I'd like to explore the options in the Knoxville area, since we hope to move back there eventually anyway.

Basically, I print a monthly magazine, full color (CMYK process), typically 24-40 pages, 20,000 copies, on 50#hi-brite (heavier newsrag). Quality is critical. Need a printer that can handle that large job, provide reasonable turn-around (about a week), and deliver to Murfreesboro.

Any suggestions?

I have used Hart Graphics for sales collateral, but nothing on that scale and I don't know if they can handle something that big. But they did great work for me, and have an all digital workflow and the latest and greatest digital presses, and they are easy to work with. They also do design work, so if they can't handle the job maybe they partner with somebody or can refer you.

I have no idea what their capabilities are but you can can call (865) 523-0931 and ask for Peter...He can probably tell you (he owns the place).

the maryville times - prints metro pulse i think? i think they do a great job and your heavy paper will cinch it.

this is a web press thing isn't it? ullrich/hart/etc aren't in that category.

I think Ullrich Printing on Middlebrook does a good job. We've used them for years.
