Heh. Rick just came in after a 73 mile bike ride...he left out about 5:30 this morning.

Do I let him sit down or do I need to keep him moving? I have a nagging feeling he's going to be stove-up in the morning.

yeah, well i...um, walked to the bagel store this morning. two blocks! (four, round-trip.) then of course i ate a 6,000-calorie bagel.

(i love the phrase "stove up," btw. the first time someone said that to me was while i was working at the paper in sevierville. some guy i was interviewing told me he was on disability, and when i asked what the disability was, he said, "oh i'm all stove up." i had to ask my editor for clarification.)

And I'd be right with you consuming a loaded bagle or hoofing it at Busch Gardens...the self-imposed mega rides are not my thing.

That's great! Congrats!...to complete a marathon or triathalon is great-to place is really, really great.

I still think are several on this blab who would like to participate in the Booty Loop in Charlotte.

I took a river cruise out of Carl Cowan Park this afternoon that was rather nice. It involved beer. So...yeah...nothing to add.

Thanks. I was pleasantly surprised. After three marathons and countless half marathons, I figured I had the distance running thing pretty much figured out so I decided to add some new disciplines to my repertoire this year. This is my first season doing triathlons. Today was my first race in open water and the mass start was a little unnerving. I survived, though, and even won a prize for placing. Yay, me.

Congrats dude!! I think I'd get about 100 yards and my heart and lungs would just pop out like that little thing on Aliens.
