I survived brain surgery for this....?

Is coming to a venue close to you on July 29, 2006. Performance art chronicling the last year of my post brain surgery/post MS diagnosis life has found a home. I just got the confirmation email, so after I call and confirm tomorrow, I'll post details for anybody who might want to come and see it. Or not. It doesn't matter as this is for me. My triumph.

Sometimes humorous, sometimes sad, always true.

July 29 is the one year anniversary of the surgery, just FYI......not everything in my life will be fodder for this piece, but I am always honest and raw and write with emotion. However, I don't think I'll be sending my mother an invitation.....

Congrats on finding the right venue!

I find writing and drawing very cathartic so I can only imagine how good it will be for you to share what you have written.

Consider contacting the local and national MS chapters to let them know about your performance. I think it would be helpful for others to hear. Sometimes you need to hear what others have gone through to snap yourself out of a self-imposed depression and get going with your life. Other times, it just helps to know that you aren't the only one out there going through certain setbacks.

Admitting to yourself and to others what's been going on with your health isn't always an easy thing to do- I'm proud of you that you've got the strength to do it.
