Ok, I JUST NOW figured out that you can actually SEE who gave you green cubes and WHY they did and even read messages. Which means I have lots of messages from people I've never read or responded to.

Now if I can make my darn PM function work, I will sort thru these messages and respond....

With your tetris wall of cubes there, you'd spend so much time saying thx that you'd never get to enjoy the blab. :)

well you know, i spend a lot of my free time inventing new log-ins just to give myself cubes.

(cubing yourself is TOTALLY natural!)

I thought your favorite was when I recite the entire script of Henry Fool while dressed like Bob Nastanovich and smoking French cigarettes?

please forgive me if this is a stuuupid question---but how might one give someone a green cube? I have gotten a few but I have no idea how to give them out.

I have spent over 40 seconds trying to figure it out and have given up out of exhaustion---please help. thanks in advance.

i wasn't sure what the proper etiquette was for receiving a green cube. Where is Letitia Baldridge when you need her? God?

I looked- but, unfortunately Emily Post didn't address the issue.
She did mention that a handwritten note on embossed (Crane) stationery was appropriate when a thread you started reaches 500 replies.
However, you do have a window of six months from the 500th post to send the thank you note to the people who are monitoring the board.

And, Rob and Derek DO deserve our handwritten notes on Crane stationary, at the very least. The only problem is my handwriting, Georgia! I am going to just kiss the stationary and sign my name. Will that be okay? A lip print? :)

Oh, I bet they'd really like a lipstick print!
Emily Post did mention that "notes" written prior to 6 p.m. the lipstick should be in a shade of coral or pink. If the "note" is written after 6 p.m., shades of red may be used without taking on a sexual connotation.

Now I am really confused... I always thought it was a circle jerk to start with!

What's the difference between the light green cubes and the dark ones?

the "darker" cubes appear when someone with very few (if any) cubes of their own gives you one (fewer points)...
and
When someone wit a pile of cubes gives ya a cube (more points)...
