View Full Version : Knoxville parTAY at Bonnaroo
OK, I am willing to be the chief organizer for a Knoxville soiree at Bonnaroo for all of us and our pals. I'll buy a large quantity of starter beer, too, to get things underway. But I need some feedback on the best place/time to do this during the weekend. I'd do it at my camping spot, but I'll be in the restricted press area and I don't think mere mortals can enter. So someone else will have to volunteer their campsite for the event.
Thoughts?

I'm more than willing to volunteer a spot. Just hope it's in close proximity for everyone. I would even be willing to hoist up a KnoxBlab banner if I could figure out how to get the logo on something.
Obviously, no one is going to know where anyone else is, so maybe a good meetup point would be at the Nug Jug set on Thursday evening.
Additional thoughts?
I think meeting up at Nug Jug on Thursday is a good idea. Then we can figure out who's camping where, and who has access to what areas.

Is there a Friday show with a Knox band that we could choose as meetup central? I'm afraid there might be some folks who won't get there til Friday...

I say we meet up at Nug Jug thursday for those that will be there and then pick another site for Friday. Just my 2 cents...

Allen Sign--for the banner. That's what we use for Sundown. Are your passes not for the "guest" area, Ski-Bone?

Guess I find that out later.
As for the banner, Allen did our Funhouse banners but that is a little much for something to take to a weekend festival.

But, it is supposed to be a KnoxBlab banner though. You can use it more than just one weekend--do it for the kids. Shell it out, money bags.
As for the tix, I'm pretty sure that they all go out next week--by Friday definately.

That sounds like a plan to me. Even for those that can't make it then, it will at least be a good starting point to figure out where everybody is at.

Several in our group know KAG. I think lots of folks know Ian, too (he's pretty easily identifiable :) ) I'll try and wear a Knox-related shirt. And at our campsite, we have a gazebo-thingy that is bright blue and has soccer balls on it.

Indeed you can. No offense to KnoxBlabbers, but I don't really want to see you at our tent...okay yes I do, but if you don't come, I'll forgive you.
The 'Roo is our chance to be exposed to out-of-towners who either don't want to see Radiohead, can't find their way to Radiohead, or wander off during Radiohead, following the music and lights...

I am in the process of aquiring a Funhouse/KnoxBlab flag. Not sure if it'll will transpire but I've been told it should happen.
