Miss. Supreme Court won't
overturn ex-Marine's plea

For a second time, the state Supreme Court has
rejected Mississippi death row inmate Thomas
Loden Jr.’s effort to get his 2001 guilty plea to
capital murder overturned.
Today, the state high court in a unanimous decision
denied Loden petition to allow him to seek in trial
court to get his guilty plea vacated. In 2007, the
court also ruled against Loden.
The Mississippi Supreme Court rejected Loden's
argument that he relied on faulty advice from his
attorney when he pleaded guilty in 2001 to capital
murder and was unexpectedly sentenced to death.
The Mississippi court held that because Loden
pleaded guilty, the validity of that plea can't be
appealed.
Loden, a former Marine recruiter, was sentenced to
death in 2001 in Itawamba County for killing 16-
year-old Leesa Gray. He also was sentenced to 30
years on kidnapping and rape counts.
Gray was found dead in Loden’s van in 2000,
according to court documents.

Notice in the above article that there was never any mention of the ATROCITY of this man's deeds. It's nuts and bolts SIMPLE. "Loden was convicted of killing 16 year old Leesa Gray." The REASON that people should actually be able to read the bias of this article is the same reason WHY people should question MUCH of the way modern media protrays things. When it suits the purpose? Oh, how they show you the atrocity of what these few American soldiers did in Vietnam. But when it comes to showing you the atrocity of what Mister Loden did? They are strangely meek, quick to the point, and sometimes vague. Or they just give a synopsis.
So when it suits their purpose? You get every detail. When it does not? You get NO DETAILS. And no details was certainly enough for the Clarion Ledger! WHY? Because as simple as it is, and at the basic level? They'd like to show Loden as the VICTIM of the criminal justice system! And not his actual victim--
an innocent 16 year old girl
whom Loden kidnapped, tormented, REPEATEDLY RAPED, and SODOMIZED. Loden even VIDEOTAPED the savagery of his acts, relishing his sadism, and slowly strangled this innocent 16 year old girl. The reason he did that is because, according to criminologist Steven Fox, apparently violent criminals know that various orifices of the human body tighten up when the person is strangled. THAT'S WHY LODEN strangled her, folks.

Over the next four hours, Loden repeatedly raped and sexually battered Leesa, videotaping portions of the sadistic acts, before murdering her by way of suffocation and manual strangulation. Following his arrest, Loden was indicted for capital murder, rape, and four counts of sexual battery."

In the meantime, the taxpaying WOMEN of the state of Mississippi, who are paid 64 cents on the dollar for what a man would make in almost every job they are working, have to pay for this miserable wretch...... to have free mail delivery, free lawyers, free food, free medical, dental and vision care, hot showers, clean linens, and more! At times, Loden has complained in appeals that he can't "exercise enough, or shower enough, or get enough phone access, or that he was only provided with soap, washcloth, and towel"

Consistent with the State’s “Offer of Proof” signed by Loden, the videotape demonstrates visually and audibly her pain and suffering. The videotape depicts Leesa noticeably being put in pain and captures her declaration “I’m hurting . . . please. I think I’m hurt really bad.”
