I have already read this story, and Hillary was just being NICE to Obama when she said that she thinks he is electable. And it is NOT that she 'changed course' as Beth Fouhy writes. It's just that she was on camera.

BeHIND the cameras? Hillary Clinton already knows... that Obama will LOSE.

Obama.... has been blown apart by his pastor, whether you are smart enough to realise it.... OR NOT. IF, and this is a HUGE IF... Barrack Obama had a 'past record' of bringing about 'change' in the United States Senate [where he was recently elected by the citizens of Illinois] and IF... he had a history of 'change' in the Illinois state legislature? You.... MIGHT... be able to over ride the bad press.

But the reality is that Obama has NEVER... been able... to bring about any change.

He's just a guy.... who is a first term senator... from a NORTHERN STATE.

And that is IT.

Look at the democraphic trends of this nation, and you will see that ole Deanna's Daydreamer has been talking about the 'aging nation' for a year or more now. McCain is a winner among OLDER VOTERS. Then let's look at the hispanic vote; Obama is a loser among them as well. Obama works well with the college kids? But since 1972 when Richard Nixon got them the vote? They've NEVER.... EVER... been able to influence an election to a degree that truly matters! The black vote? That is something you would already have running Hillary! The national anti war sentiment will not be enough to carry Obama to victory, and he will get waxed at some moment in the debate with McCain that it won't even be funny. The hope and change bandwagon works great with college kids; baby it ain't so cool with the rest of the pop....

the rest of the population... is getting OLD. The hope deal runs well early on in a political campaign? But it falters at the moment of truth. It fails you when you get down to the 'nuts and bolts' of politics. Just as easily as you have seen Obama GAFF this latest deal......... which SHOWS clearly he was out of touch? He will do it AGAIN.... at some time before the election!

I don’t know how a few tough questions got slipped into a Democrat debate, but they did. The effect of those questions was to expose Barack Obama over and over again as an empty suit with no real working knowledge of the economy, taxes, or even an understanding of the American people and how they live.

Once again, he described religion as –not the way human beings relate to their Creator- but instead as a refuge people use when government doesn’t work. Apparently to him, God and government are equivocated. If government works properly, the people won’t need God! Hmm, given this, I guess he justifies calling himself a “religious man” only because of governmental failure, hence the need for “Change and Hope®” only he can deliver.

Obama not only came up with bad answers, but he showed that without a teleprompter and a professionally-written speech from a speechwriter, he is inarticulate, fumbling, and, at times, even incoherent.

Hillary pounded him on the issue of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright, saying, “you choose your pastor, not your family.” She also nailed him on his friendship with Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers. Although BO described him as a “neighbor,” Hillary pointed out that Obama and Ayers worked on a foundation together for years, even after Ayers wrote in the New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001 that he not only didn’t regret his terrorism upon the United States, but that he “wished he had done more (bombings).”

It got really cringe-worthy when Charlie asked about capital-gains tax rates, which Obama has pledged to raise. Charlie kept pointing out that decreasing the rates actually increased the revenues, and Obama fumbled around until he simply had to admit that it didn’t have anything to do with a good economy, everything just had to be “fair.”
Ouch.

Then, it got truly hilarious when both Hillary and Obama fumbled through explanations of how they support the second amendment, but still backed gun bans.
The winner in this debate? McCain.

I thought... when the story {about Obama's pastor and his rantings} first broke...

that it would be bad, and bad for a week or two, and then Obama would be able to move on, and I was simply WRONG about that. The sad reality for democrats... is that the story of Obama's preacher... has LEGS... as they say about an On Broadway play which starts slow but gets the word around about how good or unique it really IS. The story of Obama's preacher has legs, folks. The media is investigating him,
